Completed projects are those in which the initial construction of the fiber backbone is completed and all the subscribers that were part of the initial project are hooked up to the service.
The fiber backbone travels past many households that are not currently connected. Those households can be connected to the backbone at any point in time. . If you find that a completed project went past your home and you are interested in getting fiber service, please contact LAHCF at info@lahcommunityfiber.org.
In most circumstances, LAHCF can give you a quote for connection costs in a very short amount of time. If you home is close to a backbone vault, the hookup process should be relatively quick, because for 2024 we are putting most of our effort into filling out our current fiber backbones.
Our projects are divided currently into different areas. Several of these areas are fiber islands. The completed builds are grouped by their areas:
Fremont Pines Lane —Fremont Rd. — Sunset — O’Keefe — El Monte — Summerhill
There is now a contiguous fiber backbone that goes from the main cabinet at Fremont Pines Lane to Nicole Lane off of Summerhill. There are a number of “backbone-offshoots” such as Normandy Lane and Deerfield. We have signficant capacity to add people along this backbone.
- Fremont Pines and adjacent La Paloma homes (9 subscribers; one to be added in late 2024)
- Fremont Pines to Old Altos Road to Burke Road (3 subscribers connected)
- Deerfield (3 subscribers)
- West Sunset (2 subscribers)
- Burke to E. Sunset to O’Keefe to El Monte to Summerhill to Nicole Lane (1 existing subscriber; 8 subscribers to be hooked up in late 2024)
